My name is Elise Arellano, a cradle Catholic whose faith journey took me from an apathetic follower to being on fire for Christ! I am a BIPOC single mom that is determined to be - and raise - a saint.

After experiencing the trauma of abuse in my childhood and as an adult, I struggled for a long time with loneliness, low self-esteem, depression and anxiety. These wounds festered and distorted my image of myself, the world, and our Lord. I was that girl that had just about every deadly sin and never believed I was loved. It wasn't until I hit rock bottom. I finally had to let go of it all and allow God to drive. For me, this was one of the hardest things to do, let go of “my” very protected heart. I wanted to keep it to myself. I was tired of hurting, so I gave Him His heart back.

Ultimately, I found healing through therapy and spiritual direction, and in the process rediscovered my self-worth as a daughter of the Most High King through the sacraments. I continue to deepen my relationship with Christ and allow Him to heal her heart through frequent Eucharistic Adoration and praying the Divine Mercy chaplet.

Through this time of healing, I share my journey with the Church and share my knowledge about the teachings and angels. I am incredibly close to my Guardian Angel and want to help others learn about their Angels.

I believe in spreading the Gospel with a contagious joy that draws others to the source of the Light. Sometimes, this is through the subtle, hidden works of mercy that I perform as a public school teacher; sometimes, it’s through my bold, candid testimony I share as a Catholic evangelist; and sometimes, it’s through the art I produce as a graphic design artist and business owner of That Catholic Design.
