God found me over and over and over again - isn’t that how the best love stories go?
Through multiple means, Jesus pursued me intellectually, emotionally, relationally, and physically. The initial seed was planted because of my incredible catholic high school in South Bend, Indiana. I dove head first into Catholicism. After high school, I went to Indiana University and allowed a new lifestyle to trump my convictions. In my deepest season of mortal sin, I was still seeking God actively and leading so many at my Newman Center – God truly had mercy on my littleness.
Only when I encountered my first FOCUS missionary did I experience the wake-up call of a lifetime. This sweet soul called me to a life of virtue and held out a hand as I went through so many changes in life. Since that initial “yes”, God has continued to bless my heart for His evangelization. When I started @acatholicconvo I was using it as a creative challenge. It swiftly turned into numerous opportunities for inspiration, joy, friendship, and use of my gifts.
The community gifted to me has been remarkable. For five years now, I’ve worked for @focuscatholic as an on-campus missionary, and digital content coordinator on the marketing team. I’ve continued to carry a passion for analyzing our Catholic identity in relation to our social media usage, as well. Social media addiction is something that I know affects our relationship with Jesus, our prayer lives, and our relationships, so you’ll often hear me talking about this topic over a glass of wine or hot cocoa (now that I’m pregnant).
My story and my life is one big dependency on God rescuing me in my littleness. I expect that theme to continue on until I get to meet Him face to face, God willing.
