Mike and Claire are a husband and wife. They have been married for seven years and have a six year old son. Both raised Catholic, Mike and Claire met when Mike was studying to receive his doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering and Claire was starting her career as an oncology nurse. They met at a young adult group Claire had helped create in honor of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati after moving to Mike’s city of Buffalo, New York. Claire had been praying for years through the intercession of the “24-Year old Saints” (Saints who died at the age of 24) for a gift when she turned twenty-four years old. That was the year she started the Frassati Young Adult group, the place where she met Mike, her gift! They dated for five months before Mike proposed and were married a year later. They both love the Catholic faith, and after a year of marriage they created their online ministry, Finding Philothea. With Saint Francis de Sales as their patron, Finding Philothea (the one who loves God) is about finding the one who loves God in ourselves, our true self, one another, and each other. They share the joy, beauty, and mercy of a life lived in and for Christ on their Instagram, blog, and podcast. They love the Saints, especially Our Lady and Saint Joseph. They have a particular devotion to the Holy Family especially after experiencing six years of secondary infertility. They love their little family of three and hope to imitate the small family of three of Nazareth! They also love to cook for one another, Mike makes beautiful dishes for Claire everyday, as well as to read, write, and go to the symphony. This past year Claire fulfilled her lifelong goal and dream of becoming an etiquette instructor. She has incorporated the theology and history degrees she earned, as well as lessons during her nursing career, and her own studying - particularly of philosopher Dietrich von Hildebrand, to create her own etiquette courses that will be launching soon. Mike uses his Industrial Engineering each day yet his favorite job is to be his son Peter’s Master LEGO builder side-kick! Mike and Claire are yearning each day for heaven and ask for your prayers, and want you to know they will be praying for you!
