I've been Catholic my whole life, and it has become a central part of my life, marriage, family, career, and craft.

Growing up, there were a few things that were always a part of my life. Spending time with my family, my Catholic faith, music, and playing video games, and I never knew that my life would find a way to combine all of those in such a unique way.

At age 10 I took interest in music, mostly because I was drawn to the technology side of it (thanks to music in video games!), and began playing with keyboards. That led me to taking piano lessons at our parish from Mrs. Burkett, the resident music director and teacher. She set my passion for music on fire, while also encouraging me to learn and playing liturgical and Sacred music. By age 14, I was an accompanist for cantors for masses (mostly my mom cantoring), but was also then taking college/summer courses about music technology.

My passion for music also lead me to eventually meet my wonderful wife Laura. We met in highschool, and shared our love of God, our Catholic faith, and music! After highschool, I attended Capital University to obtain a Bachelor of Music Composition while maintaining a long distance relationship with Laura, but we were married in 2007 as soon as I graduated. I became a freelance composer and business owner that same year, and began working on media projects, writing music for games, scoring films, and writing music for ads.

About 2012, after a few years of working on various projects, my wife said “why don’t you work on some Catholic projects?”, to which I laughed and said “Like what?” She shared with me the incredible work that companies like Spirit Juice and Word on Fire were creating, and encouraged me to reach out to them, where I had some of my first collaborations with Catholic Media Companies. Since 2012, I’ve had the opportunity to work on many great projects, but some of the highlights include “Jesus Thirsts”, “Mother Theresa: No Greater Love”, “St. Joseph: Our Spiritual Father”, “Pivotal Players”, “Wonder: The Harmony of Faith & Science”, “The Veil Removed”, ”In Solidarity with Ukraine”, “Media Apostle: The Father James Alberione Story”, and “Tailor Made Cross”

I was born in the middle of nowhere Ohio, and I still live there. I didn’t want to move to a coastal city like Los Angeles or New York. I am one of the music and choir directors at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Bethlehem Ohio (also known as “The Settlement”) where I also teach music to Pre-K to 8th grade. I have seven kids, ages ranging from 1 to 15, and have been married now for 17 years. My wife and I are a marriage preparation couple for the Diocese of Toledo, as well as an NFP Sympto-Thermal Method Teaching Couple for “The Couple to Couple League International” (ccli.org).

I write music for all variety of projects, both secular (Millenia Game, Floor Plan 2, The Political Machine 2024, Galactic Civilizations IV) and sacred.
