Brendan Gotta

My name is Brendan Gotta and my story is one of an outpouring of grace. In short, the Lord has been so good to me, and for 28 years, I’ve been blessed to not only stand firm with my faith, but to truly grow to love it. I am the fourth of eight children, and from the moment I was born, I was showered with love and care. Raised by two amazing parents and following in the footsteps of three wonderful siblings, I had examples of holiness all around me. I spent as much time growing up at my parish school and church as I did at home, and for this, I am forever blessed. From an amazing pastor to a school filled with faithful teachers, I found myself mystified by the faith. It was very early on that I knew this was of the utmost importance, and I took it upon myself to try and live a faithful life. This, coupled with my desire to please my earthly parents, created a recipe for success.

Growing up my family did not have much, but I never remember wanting. My parents' love for us kids was always felt, and for that, I found myself always thankful. By the time I got to middle school, I had already decided on the college I wanted to attend, Franciscan University, and at that time, was planning on studying Theology so I could be a Youth Minister.

This desire led me to attempt to take my faith more seriously, and by the time senior year of high school arrived, I was taking Theology courses to prepare myself.
I did end up attending Franciscan, and although I didn’t study Theology, but instead Communications, I was fully immersed in my faith life and found myself desiring one thing above all else - to be a saint!

This led me to work for the church upon graduation, deciding that the best way for me to be a saint would be by actively preaching the gospel through my day-to-day life, in a very concrete way. This work has taken on many different looks over the past seven years, but the basis has remained the same. In some capacity, my day-to-day job has allowed me the space and opportunity to preach Christ Jesus very explicitly and for that, I am forever grateful.

Currently, I live in Charlotte, North Carolina, with my wife, Meredith, and am working for Trinity Road as their Manager of Corporate Communications and Evangelization.
