After this moment of grace I had with Our Lady, I began to change everything about my spiritual life. I returned to confession for the first time in 10+ years, I began reading Catholic Books (especially on Mary), I began to pray the Rosary more fervently, and I even joined the Catholic Young Adult group my best friend was part of.

Life with Christ has been my greatest adventure. I have seen amazing miracles before my eyes, watched people encounter Jesus and be healed by Him, and have felt His presence in tangible ways.

I knew that if my desire was to be as close to my Savior as I could this side of heaven then I had to unite myself with His Bride, the Catholic Church.

My pursuit of love and learning all about it has brought me to almost as long a career in Catholic wedding photography, an incomparable school of sacrificial love. This journey prepared me to meet my husband and share this love with everyone I encounter; on my best days, of course. I’m still learning.

He doesn’t promise wild success or that I will be the most eloquent Dominican preacher or teacher, but He does promise that He will be there. All I have to do is look at Him.

That was the first day I stopped telling God what I couldn’t do and asked Him what He wanted me to do. That is my invitation to you today, don’t limit God’s power, just ask and trust He can make you who He needs you to be.

Now I understand the world constantly as the product of God’s creation and look at my experiences as serving to understand, or maybe its more indulgence, of Gods will, His creations.

Although my story has had many ups and downs, I am so grateful for the way God has led me and used every single thing for my good and His glory. I hope to continue doing my part in building up His kingdom by supporting His Church through the work I get to do with Newman and beyond!

Jesus is the only one that can give a type of faithful and unconditional love that satisfies. This brings me back over and over again to a quiet and indescribable place of encounter with Jesus that carries me through life's ups and downs.

Right now life with Jesus at 29 looks like living in Australia, and creatively sharing the Jesus I know through the ministry @saltandgoldcollection . I’m desperate for the world to know the Jesus I’ve met!

This work has taken on many different looks over the past seven years, but the basis has remained the same. In some capacity, my day-to-day job has allowed me the space and opportunity to preach Christ Jesus very explicitly and for that, I am forever grateful.

Never have I experienced or felt so much joy as I did that day, as I still do every day when I look at him, this man God intended for me to marry and build a life with. God is so good, and He never fails to give us exactly what we need, when we need it!

Thinking about it now I smile as I sit at my desk working to lead young people to know the Lord in their parishes and youth groups. I learned that my life truly belongs to Him and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

What I have learned is that when I say “yes” to the crosses that come my way, I begin to taste the glory that awaits. I have learned Christ is not afraid of the poor places in my heart.

I find strength daily in the fact that we have a generous and compassionate God who loves us enough to share in our sufferings, even to the point of death, and one that loves me for who I am, even in the midst of my brokenness.

I found the Daughters of St Paul online. Their spirituality pushed me deeper into God. In July 2021, I made my 1st vows as a Daughter of St Paul to the faithful God who, years ago, took an earnest little girl at her word.
